When contacted regarding her opinion, Goswami added, “Why should BMC give away land for free or at a subsidy to someone who can easily afford it? Also, in that case why can’t super models get free land to start grooming academies to teach English or to train ordinary girls become models? In fact such privileges should be reserved for the talented who can’t afford any better. With due respect to Madhuriji, who is a living legend, I think she has done nothing good for the nation or the state courtesy which she should be expecting huge favours in return.”
